Career Options For a Student After 12th

Chartered Accountant (CA)
The basic definition of a CA is a person who audits accounts, provides trustworthy information about financial records, and gives accounting advice. To become a CA, a student first needs to give the CPT(Common Proficiency Test). The test, which is out of 200 has a minimum of 40% passing rate in each subject and an overall aggregate of 50%. The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) runs the necessary functions of the CA exam. Most CAs tend to do Bachelor of Commerce(B.Com) to complement their degree. It takes a minimum of 6-7 years of hard work and a tenacious mindset to become a CA.
A company secretary looks after governance-related matters of a company. They sign and understand the documents that are sent to the regulatory bodies like SEBI, Ministry of Corporate Affairs, etc. Other duties include arranging board meetings and also communicating company news to shareholders. Bachelor of Science in Banking and Finance
A B.Sc in Banking and Finance is a 3-year course and aims to teach the student how financial institutions run and how financial markets operate in the larger spectrum. The risk management methods run by financial companies are also taught in this umbrella course. The course opens the student up to the wider world of finance and the stock market. They can even pursue a masters course in financial management or an MBA. Job opportunities are many with openings in banks, insurance companies, and even the stock market.
